Beachport is located 380km south of Adelaide and about 570 km west of Melbourne.
The town is on the north west point of Rivoli Bay. It has sea on two sides and Lake George behind. It is a nature lovers paradise with its unspoilt beaches, beautiful blue green water and rugged coast lines.

The town was founded by whalers in the 1830’s. It is now a peaceful beachside town with rock lobster fishing being the towns staple industry.

The beachport jetty is 700m long, one of the longest jetties in South Australia.

A great place to do some fishing with the kids, watch the cray boats unload or just take a walk.

The pool of siloam is a unique town attraction. It is an ideal swimming spot as the salt concentration is seven times greater than the sea, creating great buoyancy.

Lake George is a great windsurfing spot, it is also home to a wide variety of bird species and is a great place for a quiet walk in the bush.

The town itself boasts great tourist services such as:

  • Hotel with drive through bottle shop;
  • The Green Room for great fish and chips and other take away food;
  • Bompa’s by The Sea for café style meals;
  • At the Jetty for fantastic coffee, food, gift ware,and all your fishing tackle requirements;
